Fiebing's Pro Dye is an alcohol based leather dye created specifically for colouring natural strap leather, vegetable tanned leather, and bag and case leather. It gives excellent coverage and superior colour fastness. The Pro Dye is an improved version of Fiebing's traditional Leather Dye.Â
It is available in two sizes - a small bottle (4 fl oz or 118 ml) or a large bottle (32 fl oz or 946 ml). The 4 fl oz is ideal for small to medium sized projects or sample work.
Prior to applying dye, the leather should be cleaned thoroughly with Fiebing's Deglazer to remove all old polish and finish. While damp from cleaning, the Pro Dye should be applied evenly with a damp dauber or sponge. A second coat of dye may be applied if required. After dying, remove excess surface dye by rubbing briskly with a soft cloth. For high gloss, spray with Fiebing's Resolene. Not for use on suede or other porous materials.
