Leather Stitching Punch - Diamond Chisels

The leather stitching punch is available in 10, 9, 8, 4 and 2 prong sizes and in 2.5mm, 3mm or 3.5mm prong (leather hand stitch hole) length.

The 2.5 mm punch produces a 2.5 mm wide stitching hole. Holes have a 0.3 mm spacing in between and the punch produces 8.5 stitches per inch. The prong length measures 9 mm.

The 3 mm punch produces a 3 mm wide stitching hole. Holes have a 0.5 mm spacing in between and the punch produces 7.5 stitches per inch. The prong length measures 9 mm.

The 3.5 mm punch produces a 3.5 mm wide stitching hole. Holes have a 1 mm spacing in between and the punch produces 7 stitches per inch. The prong length measures 9 mm.

Diamond chisels are specialised leatherworking tools with angled, diamond-shaped prongs that punch through leather to create evenly spaced, angled holes for saddle stitching, a strong and traditional hand-sewing technique. The leather stitching punch should be punched firmly with a heavy mallet ontto a stable and firm surface. We recommend using these with our heavy leather mallet and leather punching mat.
